This website is dedicated to the memories
of two members of my own family who died in battle on foreign fields
James Walshe, Private, 18501
7th Battalion, Royal Irish Fusiliers
Killed in Action 21/05/1916
Edmond J. Landers, Captain (SS BS PH)
1st Infantry Division
United States Army
Killed in Action 15/05/1968
Republic of Vietnam
It is also dedicated to all those other Irishmen and Irishwomen who have died in all war and conflict both at home and throughout the world.
The British Military Barracks in Tipperary town was an integral part of the town's economy and history for almost half a century. While the history and heritage of the town and it's surrounding areas is well documented, no specific record of the Old Military Barracks has been compiled. This website is intended to contribute in some way to filling this void.
The website is non profit making, and has been compiled totally in the interest of furthering the research and study of both local and military history.
